Announcing: The Rebel Lounge 10 Year Anniversary Series
March 17, 2025 1:12 pmWe are proud to announce our “10 Year Anniversary Series,” a month-long series of 16 shows to celebrate the 10th anniversary of The Rebel Lounge, which turns 10 on May 20th, 2025!
The series features some of the best and most respected artists to come out of Arizona across multiple genres, from new artists to seasoned veterans, and even a few reunion shows.
The whole series kicks off May 1st with two back-to-back nights of Authority Zero, and ends on June 4th with a special celebration with The Maine. The series also features Roger Clyne & PH Naffah, The Summer Set, Sacred Reich, Dropout Kings, Breakup Shoes, Phoenix Afrobeat Orchestra, Madilyn Mei and more.

The series showcases what The Rebel Lounge is all about, supporting Arizona artists of all different sounds.
“When we started talking about how to celebrate The Rebel Lounge turning 10 years old, and we were discussing which bands we would want to feature, we realized it was hard to do one celebration because we work with so many different types of artists,” said The Rebel Lounge’s owner Stephen Chilton. “We immediately knew we wanted to do something that all the valley music fans that support The Rebel could appreciate.“
Kicking off the series with an unforgettable double feature, Authority Zero brings two nights of musical magic with completely distinct vibes. On May 1st, they dive into “Rhythm & Booze,” delivering a mesmerizing acoustic set that will be recorded for their next live acoustic release. Volumes will get cranked up on May 2nd as Authority Zero unleashes a full-throttle, high energy electric show.
The series concludes on June 4th with a special set from The Maine. Hot off their highly successful 8123 Fest in January, the band will be celebrating a 10 year anniversary of their own. The show will be a 10 year celebration of their album American Candy, and the band will be covering the album in its entirety.
The Summer Set will return to Phoenix after recently releasing their latest single “I Don’t Wanna Party” (Official Music Video), the band’s first new song since their album Blossom released in 2022. The band performs at The Rebel Lounge for the first time on May 17th.
Local thrash metal veterans Sacred Reich return to Rebel’s stage on May 16th ahead of summer performances at HellFest (France), Rockwave Festival (Greece), Iron Fest (Germany) and more international festivals. Rap metal heavyweights Dropout Kings also headline on May 28th ahead of a festival-filled summer performing at Motocultor Festival, Odyssea, and more later this year.
Roger Clyne & PH Naffah (of Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers) performed two duo sets last year at The Rebel Lounge, and are returning to the venue as part of the series to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a performance on May 5th.
The Rebel Lounge has played an important role in the developing careers of up-and-coming indie artists Madilyn Mei (May 9th), Breakup Shoes (May 24th), and Sydney Sprague (May 26th), each of which will return to headline the venue as part of the series.
The Rebel Lounge’s homegrown emo night event EmoNightPhx and Phoenix’s longest running hip hop dance party Blunt Club each celebrate anniversaries of their own, celebrating 10 years and 23 years of the local parties respectively on May 3rd and May 23rd.
Valley favorites Phoenix Afrobeat Orchestra will deliver a different flavor of dance party with a unique live instrumental set on May 22nd.
The series also reunites a number of former Arizona staples for some rare appearances. Tucson’s The Sidewinders (also known as Sand Rubies) will be celebrating their own 40th Anniversary this May including a show on May 8. Tempe’s punk rockers The Revenge return on May 30 and west valley Emo Rockers DeSole will play their first full show since 2017 on May 31st.
The Rebel Lounge opened in Phoenix, Arizona on May 20th 2015, in what used to be The Mason Jar, when Stephen Chilton of Psyko Steve Presents and Chuckie Duff (formerly of the band Dear and the Headlights) took over the building, returning it to a live music venue. Since opening, The Rebel Lounge has been awarded “Best Punk Club,” “Best Rock Club,” “Best Marquee,” “Best Mural,” and “Best Rebooted Venue” by the Phoenix New Times in their annual Best Of Phoenix awards. In 2024, Billboard Magazine named The Rebel Lounge the “Best Venue Under 500-Capacity” in their list of 2024 Top Music Venues.
Over the last decade, The Rebel Lounge has hosted some of the best new artists on their way to success. Artist including Chappell Roan (twice), Charley Crockett (three times), Mitski (three times), Men I Trust, TV Girl, Khruangbin, Louis The Child, Declan McKenna, Soccer Mommy, LANY, Still Woozy, Japanese Breakfast, Alex G, The Garden and too many more to include.
